RESUMO: O presente artigo investiga o suporte oferecido e o papel desempenhado pela religiao na construcao de lacos afetivos e religiosos que facilitaram a integracao social dos imigrantes haitianos na sociedade brasileira de 2012 a 2015. Para alcancar esse objetivo, realizei observacao acompanhante no Salao do Reino (Testemunha de Jeova) localizado no Jardim Londres em Campinas. Tambem, acompanhei varias atividades religiosas feitas pelas Testemunhas de Jeova no Brasil, presencialmente e online. Analisei, ainda, o corpus textual relacionado a questao da religiao e da migracao; alem de outros textos importantes como artigos de jornal, dentre outros. A partir desse estudo, foi possivel entender que a religiao Testemunhas de Jeova, na tentativa de pregar e converter migrantes haitianos, construiu lacos de amizade e de afetividade que facilitam a aceitacao dos estudos biblicos por parte destes imigrantes. Faz parte da propria politica de pregacao construir tais lacos de uma maneira simbolica. Imigrantes com quem conversei durante essa pesquisa mencionaram o apoio que eles recebem dos seguidores dessa religiao, como informacoes acerca do cotidiano da sociedade brasileira e suporte linguistico (ensino de portugues por alguns membros). ABSTRACT: This article investigates the support offered and the role played by religion in the building of affective and religious ties that facilitated the social integration of Haitian immigrants into Brazilian society from 2012 to 2015. In order to achieve this goal, I made an accompanying observation in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah, located in Jardim Londres in Campinas. Also, I followed several religious activities done by Jehovah’s Witnesses in Brazil personally and online. I have also analyzed the textual corpus related to the question of religion and migration; as well as other important texts such as newspaper articles, etc. From this study, it was possible to understand that the Jehovah’s Witness religion, in the attempt to preach and convert Haitian migrants, built bonds of friendship and affection that facilitate the acceptance of the biblical studies by these immigrants. It is part of the preaching policy itself to build such ties in a symbolic way. Immigrants I talked to during this research mentioned the support they receive from followers of this religion, such as information about the daily life of Brazilian society and linguistic support (teaching Portuguese by some members).
