ResumoThe crystal structure of fresnoite, Ba₂TiSi₂O₈, has been determined two-dimensional Patterson and Fourier methods. The unit cell dimensions are : a = 8,52 Å, c = 5,21 Å. There are two molecules per unit cell and the space group is P4bm. In spite of its silicon oxygen ratio fresnoite is a sorosilicate. Its structural formula is Ba₂TiOSi₂O₇.
