Taking into account the anachronistic method embraced by Nicole Loraux, the essay attempts to experience how is that the δασμός ἐς τὸ μέσον (“that which is deposited in the center”) is constituted as the hinge that established as foundation, pleads for the forgetfulness of the political as conflict, that is, of the στάσις. In this sense, these lines inquire: what does forgetting the στάσις imply for democracy?
