Tourism Impacts in the Site of Umm Qais: An Overview Mairna H. Mustafa, Dana H. Hijjawi, Fadi Bala'awi Abstract This paper aims at shedding the light on the different impacts of tourism development in the site of Umm Qais (Gadara) in Jordan. Despite the economic benefits gained by tourism, deterioration has been witnessed in this site due to damage of archaeological features as well as the displacement of the local community.
