Resumo

Codariocalyx motorius is a rare interesting and medical species. To explore the underlying mechanisms relevant to the impediment in its sexual reproduction, and to provide the suit foundation for ex situ conservation and large-scale grow seedlings,we studied the effects and characteristics on germination of C.motorius seeds under the mechanical scarification, different temperature,light,GA3 and substrate. The results showed that mechanical friction made the C.motorius seeds a remarkably higher germinating energy, germination percentage and germinating index. Thus it followed that the mechanical inhibition resulting from the testa of C.motorius seeds was the direct reason why C.motorius seeds germinated at a low rate. Results showed that the optimum temperature was 25℃ and range was 20~30℃ for the germination of C.motorius seeds. In the 50~100 mg/L GA3,the germination percentage is higher, and the seedlings come out evenly, root system sturdy. In 30% sunshade percentage, germination speeds became quickly, and the germinating energy, germination percentage and germinating index is the highest. The substrate humus+peat(1∶1) was favorable for the germination of C.motorius seeds with seedling emergence rate reaching 85.9%.The germination method is economical and reasonable.
