Abstract Summary The family name Asphodelaceae is recommended for conservation. Superconservation of Malaceae against Amygdalaceae is not recommended. The following seven generic names are recommended for conservation: Balanites as being of feminine gender, Flammula (Fr.) P. Kumm. against Flammula (Webb ex Spach) Fourr., Kumara with a conserved type, Mascagnia against Triopterys , Monardella with a conserved type, Phymaspermum with a conserved type, and Torricellia with that spelling. The following threegeneric names are not recommended for conservation: Deiregyne with a conserved type, Margaritopsis against Eumachia , and Piresia against Reitzia . The generic name Psammanthe is recommended for rejection. Conservation of Eriogonum sect. Heterosepala is notrecommended. The following 13 species names are recommended for conservation: Agave hookeri Jacobi against A. hookeri K. Koch, Agave ×leopoldii W. Watson against A. leopoldii Rafarin, Alyssum canescens with a conserved type, Chusquea scandens against Nastus chusque , Convallaria latifolia Jacq. against C. latifolia Mill., Dalbergia reticulata Merr. against D. reticulata Ettingsh., Euphorbia acuta Engelm. against E. acuta Bellardi ex Colla, Euphorbia retusa Forssk. against E. retusa (L.) Forssk., Littaea geminiflora against Yucca boscii , Myrobalanus citrina with a conserved type, Phoenix canariensis against P. cycadifolia , Polygala vulgaris with a conservedtype other than the one originally proposed, and Salsola sedoides Pall. against S. sedoides L. The following 10 species names are notrecommended for conservation: Cyathea mucilagina against C. ecuadorensis , Eriogonum microthecum with that spelling, Fontenellea brasiliensis against Quillaja lancifolia , Malus domestica against four other names including M. pumila , Microstylis koordersii against M. madagascariensis , Pedicularis stenocorys against P. stenantha , Pennisetum clandestinum against P. longistylum , Plantago serpentina against P. strictissima , Pterygiella cylindrica against Brandisia praticola , and Senecio rodriguezii against S. varicosus .In lieu of conservation of Capparis baducca with a conserved type, rejection of Capparis baducca is recommended. Conservation of Carex interior against C. scirpoides is considered to be unnecessary; a proposal to conserve Filago arvensis with a conserved typehas not been voted on because it would not accomplish the desired effect. The following 11 species names are recommended for rejection: Antrospermum floribundum , Aquilicia samudraca , Cereus heteromorphus , Cereus spinibarbis , Chamaerops glabra , Hesperis rupestris , Lavatera micans , Sabal blackburnia , Senecio lanatus , Senecio populifolius , and Tulipa praecox . The following two speciesnames are not recommended for rejection: Asperula longiflora and Rhytiglossa glandulosa . The infraspecific name Asperula aristata subsp. scabra is not recommended for rejection. It is recommended that Huberia DC. and Hubera Chaowasku, and Carex scirpoidea Michx. and C. scirpoides Schkuhr ex Willd., be treated as homonyms. It is recommended that Uvaria scheffleri and U. schefferi notbe treated as homonyms. It is recommended that all of Steinwehr’s translations of pre‐Linnaean works in Königl. Akad. Wiss. ParisPhys. Abh. 5–9 be added to the “Opera utique oppressa”; proposals to conserve six generic names against names appearing in that workhave consequently not been voted on. After two ballots, no vote of at least 11 either for or against has been obtained for proposals toconserve Sambucaceae , Drynaria against Aglaomorpha , Myrcia against Calyptranthes , Siphonandra Klotzsch against Siphonandra Turcz., Carex fracta against C. amplectens , Celtis glabrata Steven ex Planch. against C. glabrata A. Spreng. and with a conserved type,or Selaginella densa Rydb. against S. densa R. Sim.
