Resumo

Based on Tzvetan Todorov and Dawn Ades's studies, this work analyzes the soap operas Saramandaia (2013) and Meu pedacinho de chão (2014), relating them to the dadaist/surrealist concept of ready-made and establishing the intermediality of TV with the painting. Thus, to discuss the similarities among the two media, Salvador Dalí and René Magritte's canvas as well as the André Breton's manifestos will be compared to the "fantastic" and the "wonderful realism" used in the soap operas.Besides, in accordance with Nelly Novaes Coelho's precepts, this article will argue that the fantastic narrative can serve as a reaction to the contemporary society, whose profile can be mainly characterized for the informative synthesis caused by the current technological coming.
