O artigo apresenta um recorte de um trabalho sobre os sentimentos de pertencimento e identidade no ambiente escolar em uma escola publica. A tematica foi em torno da melhoria da qualidade ambiental do espaco frequentado pelos alunos, a partir de atividades de jardinagem no exterior da escola e teve como objetivo tornar o ambiente escolar agradavel e atrativo para que a comunidade escolar possa reforcar e desenvolver sentimentos de pertencimento e identidade em relacao a escola. Pertencer constitui dividir caracteristicas, vivencias e experiencias com outros membros das comunidades de pertencimento, desenvolvendo sentimento de pertenca. Por isso, a necessidade de envolver acoes que englobem os alunos na construcao dos espacos dentro da escola de modo a conhecer e valorizar esses recintos o projeto se caracteriza por ser uma atividade continuada, portanto, nao tem hora ou tempo de duracao que possa ser pre-estabelecida. A partir do desenvolvimento do trabalho nota-se que os alunos vem percebendo que tem voz, e autonomia e por isso, conseguem atuar e conhecer melhor o ambiente escolar. Uma vez que, quem conhece sente-se pertencente a esse meio, e ao mesmo preserva e cuida, fatores que incitam comportamentos participativos, cooperativos e ao mesmo tempo enaltece a autoestima do aluno.Palavras-chavePertencimento, Identidade, Jardinagem.FEELINGS OF BELONGING AND IDENTITY IN THE SCHOOL ENVIRONMENTAbstractThe article presents a clipping of a work about the feelings of belonging and identity in the school environment in a public school. The theme was to improve the environmental quality of the space frequented by the students, from gardening activities outside the school and had as objective to make the school environment pleasant and attractive so that the school community can strengthen and develop feelings of belonging and identity in relation to the school. To belong is to share characteristics, experiences and experiences with other members of the belonging communities, developing a sense of belonging. Therefore, the need to involve actions that involve the students in the construction of spaces within the school to know and value some venues the project is characterize by being a continuous activity, therefore, has no time or time duration that can be pre -established. From the development of the work, it is notice that the students have perceived that it has voice and autonomy and for that reason, they are able to act and to know better the school environment. Since those who know, feel and belong to this environment and preserve and care for them, factors that encourage participatory, cooperative behavior and at the same time enhance the student's self-esteem.
