ResumoLange talks about how smart clothes could diagnose illnesses before they even feel ill. Clip-on sensors on wristbands can already monitor a wearer's vital signs, such as activity levels and sleep patterns. Out the rigid form of these devices limits what signals they can pick up and they won't work if people forget to wear them. The next generation of wearable technology aims to embed sensors in their clothes, so they only need to get dressed to start monitoring their health.
