Resumo

This article focuses on the myth of Hermaphroditus and Salmacis, recounted in Ovid’s Metamorphoses (4.285-388). It analyzes the mythemes that make up the myth and shows that Ovid’s work is both the main source of Solís and Rivadeneyra’s Silva of Hermaphroditus and Salmacis, and one of the points of reference for the anonymous Romance to the Infant Troco.
