ResumoIn this work, an in-depth numerical study is conducted on the influence of the stringer cross-section geometry on the mechanical behavior of curved stiffened carbon-fiber reinforced polymer panels under compression, used as fuselages of commercial aircrafts. The numerical model of a reference panel is described and the numerical results are firstly validated, by comparison with experimental results available in the literature, and then analyzed in detail. A study of the influence of different cross-section geometries of stringers (T-, I-, C-, J-, and Ω-shaped) on the behavior of the panel is then conducted. Finally some conclusions are drawn.
