ResumoAccording to the guidelines for treatment of colorectal cancer (CRC) issued in 2017 by National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) and in 2016 by Japanese Society for Cancer of the Colon and Rectum (JSCCR), the criteria for identifying curable T1 cancer after local excision including surgery and endoscopic resection (ER) are margin, differentiation, lymphovascular invasion and budding. But there is no absolute indication for additional surgery with lymph node (LN) dissection. For instance in NCCN guidelines there are two options for sessile polyp without high-risk features; following-up and colectomy with LN dissection.
