espanolDesde los atentados del 11 de septiembre en 2001, la guerra global contra el terrorismo se ha convertido en una de las prioridades de seguridad nacional para las diferentes Administraciones norteamericanas. George W. Bush, Barack Obama y, en la actualidad, el presidente Trump han optado por expandir de forma significativa los poderes del Ejecutivo ante la necesidad de enfrentar y combatir la persistente amenaza del terrorismo. Especialmente, el presidente Obama, principal responsable de la institucionalizacion de la estructura contraterrorista de ataques selectivos con drones a traves de una estrategia de militarizacion de la inteligencia, concebida como instrumento de guerra de bajo perfil para otorgar a la rama paramilitar de la CIA, en coordinacion con las fuerzas de operaciones especiales de Estados Unidos, la capacidad para rastrear, capturar y eliminar objetivos terroristas a escala global, en una dinamica de guerra permanente contra las organizaciones terroristas yihadistas. Como sus predecesores, el presidente Trump ha optado por continuar, escalar, a la vez que expandir las dimensiones mas letales y oscuras de este legado contraterrorista en una guerra perpetua, sin horizonte de victoria, incluso, para generaciones futuras. EnglishSince 11S attacks in 2001, the global war on terrorism has become one of the main national security concerns for US Administrations. George W. Bush, Barack Obama and, now, president Trump have dramatically expanded the power and authority of the executive branch in the realm of national security to confront and combat the persistent threat of terrorism. Particularly, president Obama, as the main responsible for the institutionalization of the counterterrorism targeted killing drone structure through a strategy of militarization of intelligence. It was designed as a low-profile warfare instrument to grant the CIA paramilitary branch, in coordination with the United States Special Operations Forces, the ability to track, capture and eliminate terrorist targets on a global scale, in a dynamic of permanent warfare against jihadi terrorist organizations. Like his predecessors, president Trump has opted for continuing the escalation, even expanding the dark and lethal dimenssions of this counterterrorism legacy in an endless war with no vision of victory, even for future generations.
