ResumoAcetol can be conveniently used as a reagent for the protection of carboxylic acids in peptide synthesis. It has been found to be inert and stable to hydrogenolytic and acidolytic conditions normally used in peptide synthesis. Deblocking has been selectively achieved under mild conditions using Bu4NF.3H2O in THF.
