Este artigo apresenta um panorama acerca do pluralismo e da liberdade religiosa no Brasil atual a partir do olhar das ciências sociais. Após cotejar as perspectivas de três diferentes autores sobre a diversidade religiosa brasileira, é analisada a temática da liberdade religiosa em nosso país e as relações que ambos os fenômenos detêm com a polêmica questão da secularização.Abstract: This article gives a panorama of the religious pluralism and freedom prevailing in Brazil today, from a social scientific perspective. Having compared the views of three different authors on the religious diversity in Brazil, the author analyses the issue of religious freedom in our country and the connections that both phenomena have with the controversial issue of secularization.
