ResumoThe catalytic dihydroxylation of p-methoxyphenyl ethers of various homoallylic alcohols proceeds with excellent enantioselectivity and in the case of diolefins with regioselectivity due to the favorable influence of the aryl ether moiety, as predicted from a previously proposed transition-state model.
