Resumo

Static magnetic properties (field dependences of the magnetization and the complex permeability) in the wide temperature range were investigated. The electrodynamic properties of powdered carbonyl iron in the Extremely High Frequency range – 30–50 GHz were studied. The permittivity and the permeability of the material and dielectric and magnetic loss tangents were measured. The losses in the material layer were calculated. Negative values of the permittivity and the permeability are explained in terms of features of local interactions between EMR and grains. The possibility for practical applications is shown.
