We agree that dermatology has been a major focus for these firms because our specialty has experienced rapid private equity–backed consolidation over the past several years. More than one half of the executives and management teams surveyed at the 2018 Health Care Services Private Equity Symposium noted that dermatology was drawing the most transaction attention that year (2).
