ResumoIn the scenario of the 2014 Football World Cup, the renovation and modernization of the centenary stadium of the Sociedade Esportiva Palmeiras, current Allianz Parque Arena, emerged as a promising investment.A roof in lattice steel structure was constructed with tubular section steel profiles totaling 22,000 kN and covering an area of 23,000 m².The structure had a daring design, with five large trusses supported on concrete cores and supporting an inner ring that, in turn, served as support for secondary roof beams coming from the bleachers.The design of the structural elements was performed according to the requirements of ABNT NBR 8800: 2008 and ANSI/AISC 360-10 codes.Due to the high values of the actions, dimensions and displacements of the structure, a careful assembly sequence was planned to guarantee the dimensional tolerance, stability and safety of the structure.
