The 99mtechnetium diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid scan was useful in predicting recovery of function in the involved kidney, while the 131iodine orthoiodohippurate scan provided a quantitative evaluation of the effect of the surgical procedure on. individual kidney function. All of 13 consecutive evaluated by 131iodine orthoiodohippurate renal scans had stable or improved effective renal plasma flow to the involved kidney and an unchanged or improved total excretory index 6 months after nephrolithotomy. © 1981 by The American Urological Association Education and Research, Inc.FiguresReferencesRelatedDetailsCited ByKAOUK J, GILL I, DESAI M, BANKS K, RAJA S, SKACEL M and SUNG G (2018) Laparoscopic Anatrophic Nephrolithotomy: Feasibility Study in a Chronic Porcine ModelJournal of Urology, VOL. 169, NO. 2, (691-696), Online publication date: 1-Feb-2003.MOREY A, NITAHARA K and McANINCH J (2018) MODIFIED ANATROPHIC NEPHROLITHOTOMY FOR MANAGEMENT OF STAGHORN CALCULI: IS RENAL FUNCTION PRESERVED?Journal of Urology, VOL. 162, NO. 3 Part 1, (670-673), Online publication date: 1-Sep-1999.Mayo M, Krieger J and Rudd T (2018) Effect of Percutaneous Nephrostolithotomy on Renal FunctionJournal of Urology, VOL. 133, NO. 2, (167-169), Online publication date: 1-Feb-1985.
