Resumo

In present scenario, every organization and constructions depends on automobiles for transporting goods. In that tippers are placed important role. During heavy load transmission deferential will play major role to transfer motion from engine to rear wheel. But due to heavy loads two differentials with two rear axle are used in ashok Leyland tippers, it fails at critical conditions. So this paper is concentrating with better improvements to reduce the failures on differential. Here design and analysis of differential crown wheel and pinion of Ashok Leyland tipper made by G-45 steel material. The objective of this paper is geometric model of pinion and crown wheel of rear axle differential is generated by CATIA V5 software. The geometrical model is cleaned and meshed in to finite elements by using HyperMesh12 software. Finite Element model was solved using ABAQUS software it is proposed to find the effect of deformation, strength variations of the differential. By identifying the true design and the extended service life, long term stability can be assured.
