ResumoAs is true of most social history topics, popular culture as a unit of study invariably stimulates student interest and engagement and can be somewhat of a 'saving grace' in a study of history with which many students have difficulty connecting. Such a topic can also provide the opportunity to engage with more diverse historical sources, teaching and learning activities and assessment strategies that provide a creative platform for students to effectively communicate their skills and knowledge.
