OTHR is a capable radar technology, with many future developments to come. The ability to use radar to create high -quality information over such a distance is a technological marvel (some would say miracle) and is a testament to the efforts of industry and defense. Australian Defence's In clusion of an OTHR layer, JORN, has resulted in cost-effective surveillance activities, and this will continue with the implementation of Phase 6. The stakeholders of JORN Phase 6 are working to continuously improve OTHR technology and are creating cutting -edge technological developments in the process.
