O objetivo desse artigo e apresentar a relacao entre os moradores da Vila de Paricatuba, seu patrimonio em ruinas e o turismo, por meio das representacoes sociais. Trata-se de uma pesquisa que utilizou a Teoria das Representacoes Sociais, de carater qualitativo, com abordagem multimetodo, integrando ferramentas como a observacao, a entrevista, o grupo focal e uma oficina participativa para o planejamento do turismo, junto aos moradores da Vila de Paricatuba, no interior do Amazonas. Observa-se que, sob o olhar dos sujeitos da pesquisa, de forma bastante dialetica, ha um contexto historico ancorado em representacoes muito fortes de “doenca” e de “historias de vida” que conferem identidade aquela comunidade. Nesse sentido, e papel das politicas publicas, por meio dos orgaos vinculados ao turismo, articular e conciliar os diversos interesses no ordenamento desses espacos pelo e para o turismo. Tourism and the Intangible Heritage of the Village of Paricatuba: the history in the ruins Abstract This article aims to show the relationship between the residents of Vila de Paricatuba, its heritage in ruins and the tourism, through social representations. It is a research that used the Social Representations Theory, of a qualitative nature, with a multi-method approach, integrating tools such as observation, interview, the focus group and a participatory workshop for tourism planning with the residents of Vila de Paricatuba, rural area of Amazonas. It’s observed, under the eyes of the research subjects, in a very dialectical way, a historical context anchored in very strong representations of “disease” and “life histories” which gives identity to that community. In this sense, it’s the role of public policies, through the organizations linked to tourism, to articulate and reconcile the various interests in the territorial planning of these spaces by and for tourism.
