ResumoThe article addresses the particularities that the intercultural perspective currently assumes as an educational policy in the province of Buenos Aires and the ways in which it is appropriated by students of a Primary Education degree in a context of economic crisis and budget cuts. The methodological approach was based on an ethnographic point of view through participatory observation, open interviews and a compilation of documentary sources in a Higher Institute for Teacher Training in a city in the centre of the Province of Buenos Aires (Argentina). The result obtained so far reveals the continuity of the intercultural perspective as the organizational axis of school education and, at the same time, the under-financing of programs and policies for their implementation. From the analysis carried out, and despite the context of underfunding, social conflicts, historical processes and the daily experiences of the students are oriented towards recognizing a complex and diverse world. For this reason, it is considered necessary and relevant to implement programs aimed at incorporating the intercultural perspective into the daily experience of teaching.
