ResumoThe present work is a discussion on the nature of the philosophical desire, as proposed by Plato in the Republic - more specifically in the myth of the cave. Through a commentary on the passage of myth, we discuss about how one can infer from this passage a metaphysics of desire that guides to the synthesis of the philosophical desire.
