ResumoLast summer saw an unusually high number of cases of West Nile fever in horses and people in south and south‐east Europe, but it is too early to tell if this was a one‐off increase or a sign of things to come. Here, Christopher Browne , Eleanor Glendenning , Jolyon Medlock and Helen Roberts discuss the various West Nile fever surveillance and control mechanisms in place in the UK.
