The South American Pochard (Netta erythrophthalma erythrophthalma) is a little known pochard, spottily distributed in Venezuela (Caribbean coast), Colombia (Caribbean coast, temperate zone of the Eastern Andes, the southeast, and Cauca Valley), southeastern Ecuador, Peru (west of the Andes), northern Chile, northern
