ResumoP-type conducting CuFeO2 thin films were synthesized on fused silica substrates by a chemical deposition spray pyrolysis technique followed by a heat treatment in a nitrogen (N2) atmosphere for 120 min at annealing temperature 850 °C. The effects of spray solution quantity on the structural, morphological, optical and electrical were studied. The post-annealed CuFeO2 films are single-phase, polycrystalline with rhombohedral structure and (012) preferred orientation. The optical transmittances varied from 70 to 30% in the VIS-IR spectrum and the direct band gap value was decreased from 1.88 eV to 1.48 eV with thickness increase. The electrical conductivity of CuFeO2 thin films increased from 9 Х 10-5 S/cm to 1.5 Х 10-1 S/cm and the carrier concentration increased from 5.5 Х 1014 cm-3 to 7.4 Х 1018 cm-3 while the film's crystalline quality improved.
