ResumoAbstract Sidat is high selling price fish and a source earner for the country. Probiotics are living bacteria promoted fish healthy and also produce bacteriocins is useful against several strains of pathogenic bacteria. This research aimed to isolated of probiotic bacteria in Anguila bicolor intestine and determine the characteristics of potential probiotics bacteria. The steps were taking sample in small intestine Anguilla bicolor , examine performed with pour plate and streak plate methods, Gram staining, biochemical Tests and making Bacteria Growth Curve. To get the ability as probiotic bacteria by using a few tests such as the ability in low pH and bile salt. The test of antagonistic ability to pathogen bacteria was used Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa . The result shows that three isolates of Gram positive and have a rod shape. The three isolates characterized by biochemical tests belong to the genus Lactobacillus . They were able growing and surviving on a medium with a pH between 3-6.5 and a medium of 0.05% and 0,1% synthetic bile salt. From the result of the antagonistic ability test show that all isolates have the ability to produce antimicrobial that are bacteriosida against bacterial growth of Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa .
