Resumo

The present work aims to analyze, from a post-colonial perspective, the process of integration of immigrants and their descents in the French territory, especially those from Maghrebian origin.Centering on nationalism, post-colonialism and integration models, and analyzing documents from the French government and from international organizations, this article observes how France has integrated these populations, it's intentions and problematic points.The research highlights the relation between the young franco-maghrebians and the French social structure when presenting the cases of the march for equality and against racism (1983) and the French suburbs' riots in 2005, besides shedding light on the situation of these populations at the thirty-year anniversary of The march, in 2013.
