ResumoTo increase the capacity and efficiency of transporting waste by rail to an existing landfill, Enviro Solutions Inc., the landfill owner, and CSX Transportation (CSXT), the rail line owner, sought the ability to use larger flat cars and gondolas. However, this would require expanding clearance of the Princess Tunnel, an existing tunnel along the rail line. The landfill facility is located in Ashland, KY, near the end of CSXT’s Appalachian Kanawha Lexington Industrial Track.
