ResumoespanolEn este trabajo no solamente se describen y analizan los rasgos relativos a la morfologia, las funciones y los usos de la marca de vocativo e interjeccion arabe ya¯ ( ,(یا sino tambien su presencia en romance bajo la forma ya en diferentes textos, como las jarchas1, los zejeles y el Cantar de Mio Cid. Un segundo objetivo es cotejar las ediciones en busca de la mejor traduccion, ya que, cuando se utiliza en algunas modernizadas, su equivalencia con ioh! no siempre es posible ni acertada. EnglishThis paper not only describes and analyzes the features related to the morphology, functions and uses of the Arabic vocative mark and interjection ya¯ ( یا ), but also its presence in Romance Spanish under the form ya in different texts, such as kharkas, zejels and The Poem of the Cid. A second objective is to compare the editions in search of the best translation, since, when used in some modernized translations, its equivalence with ioh! is not always possible or right.
