ResumoThe city of Valencia preserves documents of the Spanish Inquisition in three of its historical archives: Archivo del Reino de Valencia, Archivo de la Universidad de Valencia and Archivo de la Catedral de Valencia. A part of these collections originated in the accounting inspection procedures employed in the forty years that followed the creation of the institution at the end of the 15th century. The other one stems from the dispersal suffered by the Archivo del Secreto after the abolition of the courts in the 19th century, and its nature and functionality does not differ from the abundant documentation preserved in the Archivo Histórico Nacional (Madrid).
