ResumoTwo of the most recognised global brand names - Porsche and Volkswagen - are in dispute over who will take the lead after the merger. Although both are German automobile manufacturers, their organisational cultural roots as well as leadership styles vary. This case analyses the issues involved in this type of inter-holding conflict thinking during a majority share transaction, specifically on integrating management, leadership and cultures of both organisations. This assessment is suitable for use in both undergraduate and graduate courses in organisational behavior and leadership.
