ResumoDionysios Solomos (1798-1857), who heard of the Greek revolution and came to Zakynthos from Italy, wrote the Hyme to Liberty (Ymnos is tin Eleftherian) on Strani Hill in 1823 with the sounds of war coming from Mesologgi and Mehmet Âkif Ersoy (1873-1936) came to Ankara from İstanbul to support the war of liberation in Anatolia with his literary and social activities and wrote the Anthem of Liberty (İstiklâl Marşı) at the Tâceddin Sufi Lodge which is very close to the battlefield.Although there are differences between the two national anthems, they are quite similar to each other.These anthems were composed by Osman Zeki Üngör and Nicolaos Halkiopoulos Mantzaros and only the first two stanzas of the anthems were composed.İstiklâl Marşı which has ten stanza is approved in 12 March 1921 and Ymnos is tin Eleftherian which has 158 stanza is approved in 4 August 1865.
