Resumo

Agribusiness represents one of the main pillars of the economy of the state of Maranhão, and for it to continue growing it needs a logistic system that will enable its competitiveness in the market. However, logistics can represent a major obstacle to agribusiness, hindering and increasing the production and distribution process. In this sense, the present study carried out an analysis of the reality of agribusiness logistics, focusing on the soybean crop in the state of Maranhão, through bibliographical and documentary research. The results related to transport modes and warehouses demonstrate inefficiency in the structure used for the flow of agricultural products, mainly in road, rail and waterways. In this way, this theme makes it possible to target focal studies, by presenting concise and cross-referenced data, which can present improvements for the regions, improving agribusiness efficiency and maximizing logistics costs.
