ResumoThis paper intends to understand the motivations and modalities of amateur cooperation in reference telejournalism in Brazil and for this it used two methodological pillars: mapping and semi - structured interviews. This study enabled to understanding a bit more about the place of the amateur in the context of TV news. Moreover, it highlighted the diversity of motivations that explain his participation on broadcast journalism. Finally, as a conclusion the paper described how journalism (and its convention) were appropriated as an instrument to express the collectivity demands, but also the individual taste for the practice of recording images and reporting relevant and/or interesting events.
