ResumoIntroduction: Navy Medical Corps officers frequently experience discontinuous residency training due to the Navy’s operational medicine structure. Many naval physicians serve in the fleet as General Medical Officers (GMOs) following internship and return to residency after a gap in training. This gap can span several years.
