ResumoThis text aims to stimulate further reading and research on Brazilian Black Youth. From the decolonial critique, we continue analytical / critical thoughts about the Sociology of Youth, insisting on reproducing the negative social experiences of this segment, which determines their representations. The idea of Black Youth in the plural is presented to highlight their diversities, as well as their repertoires. We question the massively transmitted representation in the country, which does not portray the totality of the experiences of this follow-up. The definitions that associate this part of youth with a slave-like past, and associate them with indicators of social vulnerability, especially poverty and lethal violence, are here problematized.
