Curcumin's Biomedical Applications

Introduction: In Italy, in recent years, the emblem of the environmental emergency became the "Land of Fires", spanning between the urban areas of Naples and Caserta towns. The Campania Region promoted multiple initiatives to tackle the crisis and guarantee the health status of the local population, including the call for R&D proposals named P.O. FESR 2014-2020. In this context, the project entitled: "New formulations of functional nutraceutical products for the primary prevention of diseases associated with environmental pollutants in the Land of Fires" (EcoNutraPrevention acronym) was founded and included the participation of private and public entities.
