ResumoThe Irapé hydroelectric plant (UHE Irapé) rehabilitation project, located on the Jequitinhonha River, in the State of Minas Gerais, implements different solutions in more than a thousand family groups involved.The present study aimed to make a diagnosis of the productive restructuring process of remaining families remaining in the Irapé HPP, using a quantitative approach to the research, through a census exam.Six hundred and one families were identified as resettled, including four hundred and one remaining in their resettlement sites, making it possible to interview three hundred and sixtyeight.The diagnosis of the productive restructuring process indicates that part of the families of remaining remnants carry out active activities in land management, in these same conditions, even after more than 10 years since the beginning of the Irapé HPP operation, the family groups involved in the test only during exploring the land and still having a potential productive potential in their properties, as well as showing interest in investing.
