Resumo

This article bibliographic imprint and qualitative nature of paper aims to analyze the popular poem Pé Quebrado, of Patativa do Assaré.To perform the analysis used as the theoretical assumption Carnivalization proposed by Bakhtin (1987), in addition to critical studies of Discini (2006), Fiorin (2006) and Vasconcelos on the theory and its application in the artwork.This work is a parody of the famous poem As Flor de Puxinanã, Zé da Luz and above all a social critique of our history, the context of the colonization of Brazil, particularly the Brazilian indigenous exploration.To better understand these issues, we seek to ascertain how the carnivalization appears in this poem, with regard to the elements that refer to the ambivalent and universalizing vision, for a moment degenerates and regenerates the human behavior on the aspect of ambition.The poem, we present passages that have the carnivalization, discussing specific elements that characterize the text as carnavalizado because the poetic self often reveals a reversal of the official order with its multiple meanings, the use of subversive elements, the dethronement and regeneration what is official.Through the poem, the Ceará poet creates a poetic self that demystifies ideologies and established powers, uniting in his speech parodic criticism and irony, trying to show the reader the reality of a Brazil marked by social injustice, a country that was and is still being explored.
