Resumo

Based on bibliographic research by the Critical Theory of Law, especially the contribution of Roberto Aguiar, the article addresses the (in)effectiveness of the quantitative measures proposed by the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB, in Portuguese) to improve the quality of law education in Brazil and, consequently, the qualification of lawyers. In the analysis carried out, such measures, taken in isolation, proved to be insufficient for the construction of a legal teaching and practice converging among themselves and with the Brazilian reality.
