Abstract A systematic study of lower Cretaceous bryozoans from Mieges (Jura, France) is presented and comparison is made with other faunas of the same age. The bryozoans are well preserved, indicating that fossilization occurred in place. They were epiphytic and lived on herbaceous vegetation.
