A transformação de produtos piscícolas durante a Época Romana em Olisipo: o núcleo da Rua dos Bacalhoeiros (Lisboa)

EnglishSome conclusions of the archaeological work undertaken by the City Museum’s Archaeological Service in 2005/2006 at Rua dos Bacalhoeiros are presented, located at Lisbon’s riparian frontline. The intense and continuous urban occupation of the place was well documented by this archaeological operation, with the identification of successive occupational levels. A special focus is given to the evidences connected with the Roman period, safeguarding also the occurrence of Islamic contexts and others connected with the old city bakeries and the old carnicarias (shambles), respectively from the 13th and the 14/15th centuries. The exhumed Roman structures allow the identification of a manufacturing complex for the processing and conservation of fish, reinforcing the industrial vocation of this area of Olisipo city. Simultaneously some of the most relevant Roman artifacts are presented portuguesApresentam‑se alguns dos resultados da intervencao arqueologica realizada em 2005/2006 pelo Servico de Arqueologia do Museu da Cidade (Câmara Municipal de Lisboa) na Rua dos Bacalhoeiros, localizada na zona ribeirinha de Lisboa. O estabelecimento urbano intenso e continuo que este local sofreu ao longo dos tempos ficou bem documentado nesta intervencao rqueologica, tendo sido reconhecidos sucessivos niveis ocupacionais. Focam‑se, com especial destaque, os vestigios relacionados com o periodo romano, sem esquecer a ocorrencia de contextos relacionados com a presenca islâmica e com as antigas padarias e carnecarias da cidade de Lisboa respectivamente, dos seculos XIII e XIV/XV. As estruturas romanas identificadas permitem a definicao de uma unidade fabril de transformacao de pescado, reforcando a ideia da vocacao industrial desta zona da antiga cidade de Olisipo. Apresentam‑se, igualmente, alguns dos materiais mais relevantes associados aos contextos da Epoca Romana
