ResumoConsidering the process of training of teachers that work in distance education, this article seeks to reflect the challenges, impasses and perspectives in the consolidation of this modality of education in the contemporary context of education. It’s based on field research with teachers who teaches in distance learning in different places. The text will be divided into three parts: the first presents a brief history about distance learning from the search for the systematic review, the second is the analysis of the questionnaire applied to the thirty four teachers working in the distance learning and the third provides a reflection through the strengths and weakness of formation of teachers in graduation with an administration technique (strategy planning): Swot matrix. The research data suggest that there is a lack in the academic training process of these teachers, which makes difficult the appropriate instrumentalization to practice work practice.
