ResumoBillings Reservoir was studied from October 1977 to September 1978. The research was based on the investigation of some physical and chemical characteristics of the water at two stations. Station 1 was located at Rio Grande and station 2 at Rio Pequeno in Sao Bernardo do Campo, State of Sao Paulo. An attempt was made correlating phytoplankton with physical and chemical characteristics such as: temperature, color, turbidity, Secchi disc visibi1ity, electric conductivity, pH, dissolved oxygen, consumed oxygen, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, phosphate and silica. C1imatologica1 and fluviometric factors were also considered.
