EnglishThe study has its focus in Campo Grande and the environ that are located in the west zone of the city of Rio de Janeiro, with emphasis on urban dispersion process in post 1990. The research distinguishes the process of the occupation and considers the importance of the accessibility to the collective housing, located between the urban center and the periphery of the neighborhood. It received, among others, the massive deployment of housing units, investment result of the federal government in social housing area, with the “Minha Casa Minha Vida - MCMV” program. As a result of the research was the identification of the new settlements of the middle class in the periphery of the city, to bring the program that was innovator to the housing units, the changes of the territory and in the landscape, with the implementation of major investments in this settlements in side of the roads and its neighborhood, though without having been able to include the low-income population. portuguesA reflexao tem como foco o bairro de Campo Grande e sua vizinhanca, situados na zona oeste da cidade do Rio de Janeiro, e da enfase ao processo de dispersao urbana, no pos-1990. A pesquisa distingue este processo em relacao a ocupacao do solo, e considera a importância da acessibilidade aos conjuntos habitacionais, situados entre o centro do bairro e sua periferia. Recebeu a implantacao macica de unidades habitacionais, fruto de investimento do governo federal na area de habitacao social, com o Programa “Minha Casa Minha Vida – MCMV”. Um dos produtos da pesquisa foi a identificacao dos novos assentamentos da classe media na periferia da cidade, ao trazer experiencia de programa que se pretendeu inovadora em relacao aos conjuntos e as alteracoes ocorridas no territorio e em sua paisagem, com a implantacao dos conjuntos habitacionais lindeira aos caminhos e estradas do bairro, sem atender, entretanto, a populacao de baixa renda.
