Resumo

This article deals with the production of scientific knowledge about the current state of the management competence in education for the pedagogical exercise in the “Luis Urquiza Jorge” Vocational Institute of Exact Sciences (IPVCE – acronym in Spanish) of Las Tunas. For this purpose, the rigorous treatment of the scientific method used in experiential processes of educational work management was carried out. This was done by members of a research project from the University of Las Tunas. Thus, the use of Statistics for educational research was applied, with a scale elaborated by the same researchers. This resulted in a detailed description of the competence of management in education and a software to solve the problems with the information management in the Institute.
